What makes a good photo for my Portrait?

Helpful tips to get a great photo:

Upload a clear, high resolution photo

Go for a photo that's super clear and high
resolution. This way, all those special details will shine through.

Brighten things up! Avoid those dimly lit
photos – they might not capture your best side.

Hold off on the filters, please! We want to
make sure the colors in your artwork match the real you.

Think about what you want in the final
portrait. Capture it all in the photo so nothing important is left out.

Can I have multiple artworks in one Portrait?

Absolutely! We're all about blending your
photos into heartfelt artworks. Simply remember to upload all the pictures
you'd like to include, choose the right number of people for the portrait, and
don't forget to mention any special requests in the comments when you make your

Can I order a digital portrait only?

At the moment, we don't provide standalone
digital portraits.

However, you can opt for the 'Digital Download'
add-on when you place your order. This way, you'll receive both a digital
version of your artwork alongside the physical print.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Getting your order to you depends on a few
things. Our aim is to hit these goals:

Creating Your Artwork and Packaging: About 8
working days

Shipping: Varies based on your address, usually
up to 8 working days.

How much do you charge for shipping?

We offer FREE shipping on all USA, Canada and
UK orders. 

For other countries we charge the following
flat rate shipping fees (prices in local currency):

Rest of World: $35

We may offer express service from time to time
- please see specific terms on offer. Upgrading your shipment does not infer
overnight delivery.

How do I track my order?

Once your order sets sail, we'll send you a
tracking link either through email or SMS. Plus, you can always keep tabs on
your order status and shipping specifics right on your account page at
epicpaint.com.

Can I talk to the Artist?

Although direct artist communication isn't
available, don't worry! Your thoughts, feedback, and any changes you want to
make will reach our skilled artists through our online customer service squad
and studio managers. Drop us your inquiries and ideas – our team will
seamlessly relay everything to the artist crafting your order. We're committed
to ensuring your artwork turns out stunning and meets your expectations!

I cannot upload my photo to my order

First,
make sure you've allowed the browser to access your photos and that you're
connected to the internet. If the upload still isn't working, don't stress –
we're here to help! If your photo doesn't upload even after you've placed your
order on our website, just attach the photo to an email and get in touch with
us at support@epicpaint.com. Our team is ready to assist you
and ensure your order gets completed without any issues.

How is the artwork created?

All of our artworks are digitally created by our devoted artists based on the photos you provide, and are almost identical to an actual hand-painted portrait. They use sophisticated manual techniques, which take many hours to complete. 

All you have to do is sit back and relax while our illustrators transform your photo into a masterpiece!

Can I choose the background for my painting?

Absolutely, you can definitely do
that! And guess what? There's no additional cost involved 😉 When you're placing your order, you'll be able
to inform us about any modifications you'd like for your photo, including
changes to the background. Just let us know, and we'll make it happen for you!

What style should I choose for my Portrait?

Choosing the perfect style for your portrait is a personal decision. To assist you in making your choice, we recommend exploring our Oil, Sketch galleries to discover which style resonates with your preferences. Oil is our most popular medium, making it a dependable choice if you're uncertain about which style to select.

Oil Style

Description: Oil is our most popular style, known for its vibrant and faithful representation of photographs. Artists working with oil have a broad range of styles and techniques at their disposal, allowing for versatile artistic expression. An oil painting is a cherished family heirloom that can be proudly passed down through generations.

Ideal for: Oil is a versatile choice suitable for any photo you select. If you're uncertain about which medium to choose, Oil is a reliable option.

Sketch (Black & White) Style

Description: Pencil sketching offers a spectrum of light to deep hues and depths. The precise lines achieved with a sharpened pencil are nearly impossible to replicate with a brush and unavailable in watercolor. Pencil sketching excels in providing nuanced shading.

Ideal for: Pencil portraits are typically ordered in smaller sizes and are a perfect fit for smaller rooms or walls.

Can I order my artwork with a message or text?

Absolutely! During the ordering process, you'll find a designated field where you can add text to your portrait. For the best results, we recommend keeping the text relatively concise.

Can I change my artwork style?

Please contact us within 2 hours of your order being placed and we will accommodate the change. 

If you contact us later than 2 hours after the order was placed, it will remain our discretion on whether or not the change is possible. Please be aware that in rare cases, changes to orders may result in shipping delays.

Can you gift wrap my order?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer gift wrapping for our portraits to avoid damage in shipment.

How much does a Portrait cost?

The cost of our portraits is determined by several important factors: the size of the artwork, the number of people in the portrait, and the type of frame you choose. Our meticulous attention to detail, especially in capturing each person's unique features, demands a significant investment of time and expertise.

To provide you with an accurate price estimate, we kindly request information about the number of individuals you'd like in the painting and your frame preference. The frame options include Standard, Classic, or Premium. This additional detail helps us better understand the complexity of your project and calculate the appropriate cost.

How do I apply a coupon code?

You can apply your coupon code during the checkout page while placing your order.

Make sure to click 'Apply'! (Or the right arrow on the mobile). The code will be applied before payment so you can see how much you've saved.

Only one discount code can be used for each order.

My order should be here by now, but I still don't have it. What should I do?

Before getting in touch with us, please help us out by doing the following:

Check your shipping confirmation email for any mistakes in the delivery address.

Ask your local post office if they have your package.

Stop by your neighbours in case the courier left the package with them.

Tip: Package theft is on the rise- If you're expecting a home delivery and you know you won't be home to accept it, use an address where you know you'll be!

Please note: We can only send your order to the address you have provided. If you have given us an incorrect address, and the package is delivered there, we are unable to retrieve it. Please check your address carefully on the order status page and order confirmation email before your artwork is sent for printing and shipping. Please notify us immediately if there is something wrong with the shipping address you've entered.

If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn't left at the post office or at your neighbor’s, get in touch with us at support@epicpaint.com with your order number.

Do you ship globally?

Yes, we do! We ship to any destination, worldwide.

Do you offer express shipping?

At this time, we do not offer express shipping for our custom portraits.

Do you offer a payment plan?

We offer Shop Pay installments plan. Please refer to their FAQ page for further details:

What payment methods do you accept?

We offer several payment methods:

Credit Card: Pay directly on our website using your credit card

PayPal: Pay with your PayPal account or use PayPal secure checkout to pay with your credit card by clicking the “Don't have a PayPal account?” link on the payment page.

Apple Pay: Pay with your digital wallet using Apple devices.

Google Pay: Pay with your digital wallet using Android devices.

You can also use ShopPay Payment Plan to purchase your portrait in 4 separate payments.

Note: Please note that we are unable to accept any other form of payment, including cash and checks.

What are your frame sizes?

We offer the following Frame sizes:

08x10 in (20.3 x 25.4 cm)

12x16 in (30.5 x 40.6 cm)

18x24 in (45.7 x 61.0 cm)

24x36 in (61.0 x 91.44 cm)

Frame moulding size varies from 1"-1.5" depending on your portrait size. All our frames are 0.75" thick and include hanging hardware.

Please note: We currently do not offer custom sizes. Please refer to the list above for your preferred size

What framing options do you offer?

We offer two standard options:

Poster - Your artwork will be shipped rolled in an art tube.

Framed - Your artwork will be delivered framed and ready to hang on the wall.

When do I choose the frame?

You can choose your frame during your order process. Our online frame mockup tool will show you your frame selection with a sample artwork image to ease the process.

What are your frames made of?

All portraits are expertly printed on museum-quality giclée Epson matte paper and are protected behind lightweight plexiglass. Our .75″ (1.9 cm) thick hardwood frames are sourced from renewable forests and come with hanging hardware included.

Please note: Frame moulding size varies from 1"-1.5" depending on portrait size.

Do you ship to APO, FPO, or PO Boxes?

Due to the size of our products we are not able to ship artwork to APO, FPO, or PO Boxes.

I am missing part of my order

Missing something from your order? Digital download file never arrived? Need help tracking something down? Please email us  to support@epicpaint.com and our customer service team will help you sort anything out right away.

Can I change my order after its been placed?

Changed your mind about a frame size or color? 

Please contact us within 2 hours of your order being placed and we will accommodate the change. 

If you contact us later than 2 hours after the order was placed, it will remain our discretion on whether or not the change is possible. Please be aware that in rare cases, changes to orders may result in shipping delays.

My item has arrived damaged

While it's rare, sometimes your custom portrait may get damaged in shipment. Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order at support@epicpaint.com with photos of wrong/damaged items (showing the entire portrait) and we will work fast to arrange a replacement.

Is my personal information protected?

Yes, it is. All the information gathered through our secure server is used solely to process your order. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information

What is your Return policy?

We offer 100% satisfaction guarantee . Please refer to our Guarantee Policy.

How do you protect my shipment?

The safety of your artwork is super important to us! Our shipping team will make sure that your order is safely wrapped in multiple protective layers, hard-shelled in a protective shipping box, and marked “fragile.”

Will you show my artwork on your online galleries?

No, we only display artwork in our gallery that have received pre-approval from our customers.

Is it possible to preview the portrait before placing my order?

Unfortunately, we don't offer a preview feature before placing an order. Our ordering process involves providing us with the necessary details, such as the size of the artwork, the number of people in the portrait, and any specific preferences. Once we have this information, our talented artists will create your portrait according to your specifications. We aim to ensure that you are satisfied with the final result, and if you have any specific requests or concerns during the creation process, please feel free to communicate them with us. We are committed to delivering a high-quality portrait that meets your expectations.

Are you portraits hand painted?

Our portraits are created by our skilled artists using advanced digital techniques to closely emulate the look of hand-painted artworks. They apply meticulous care and craftsmanship to transform your photos into stunning masterpieces. When you provide us with your photo, our artists will bring their expertise to the process, allowing you to sit back and relax while they work their magic!
